Steel Unit Trays

Flat unit trays - Are flat steel tray that are sized to fit to the exact size of the combined mag base dimension. The flat trays are best used for the smaller scale figures from 15mm and down because the magnetic bases will alone firmly hold the smaller scale figures to the steel trays. The flat unit tray also offers a lower profile that compliments the smaller scale figures.

General Note - All trays are listed by frontage and then depth. For pricing purposes trays with the same dimensions but with the frontage and depth reversed are the same price. The steel unit trays are completely deburred with no sharp edges and are sent out unpainted. If you do paint your unit trays you will need to first wipe trays down with white vinegar and let dry. Use a Auto primer coat as the first layer then apply a second coat in acrylic paint if necessary to get your desired color. If there is a particular size tray you would like that is not listed email me at order@shogunminiatures.com and I will let you know if I can produce that size and the cost. For inch size trays just use 25mm = 1 inch to find approximate cost of trays. Flanged unit trays - Are steel trays that have three flanges, one in the front and one on both sides. The back is open to allow for ease in removing figures as needed during a game. The flanges are roughly 1/8” (3mm). The flanged unit trays are sized for the nominal tray size listed plus a little room (approx. 3/32” / 2mm) added from side to side to accommodate some variations in base sizes. The flanged unit trays are good for any figure scale but are recommended for larger sized figures because of the increased weight and top heaviness of the 20mm and larger figures. The flanges help hold the figures in place, make it easier to pick up your units, and are easier to slide around the game table.
